Sea water swimming pools

Author: Brian Campbell () Date:   09-03-00 23:33 We will be returning to Madeira at the end of this month. My wife who is a keen swimmer,now reacts badly to the chlorine in swimming pools. Are there any public pools either without chlorine or using sea water in Funchal. We will be staying near the lido but we have not been there before,is that sea water? Thanks in advance. Author: Limbo () Date:   09-04-00 23:48 Yes, there is a sea water swimming pool there. But look at the picture below. This is the natural swimming pool on the north of the island - in Seixal. Stunningly beautiful, unspoilt and as clean as the Atlantic can get. It is also a little inaccessible. Hence hardly ever gets crowded. Most i have ever seen is 20 people max. I just mention this to make everybody envious - I was there two weeks ago and it was unforgettable... The picture comes off from the website at http://www.casa-das-videiras.com
