Birdwatching

I'm visiting the island in Mid September for two weeks. I am trying to find info on any good areas for birdwatching during my visit. Any help gratefully received!Cheers

I will be visiting Madeira in October and I am having a similar difficulty with finding areas to birdwatch. I have however located the following two web sites which have provided good information on birds and their locations from other birders.

Thanks for this. I had actually already found these...I found also a list of species for the Funchal Ecological park but I can't remember the address as I've downloaded it and printed it off as text only.However, since you are going after me I shall do my best to post any info I gather whilst out there to help you out!Good birdingDave M

Back now...I only got 16 sp (!).The info in the other trip reports is good for Sept except there seems to be less variety of birds, not more.I am trying to upload a quick report to http://members.tripod.co.uk/frodo18/tripreport.htm so have a look there (but I'm having problems with the upload....)Dave
